EMINEM ANNOUNCES BIG TRANSFORMATION
Detroit, MI - Local rapper Eminem recently announced that he will be doing “All kind a crazy-ass shit.” Including ditching his infamous moniker, ‘Eminem’, switching up his rap style to something he describes as being somewhere between “limerick and knock-knock” and enjoying new and different kinds of foods that he “Never ate before.”
According to a press release from Death Row Records, Em’s decision to change his identity was spurred by the fear that people were too often conflating him for the beloved candy treat. In a recent MTV2 interview he stated, “There’s all kind a fuckin’ M&M’s now, you know? They got peanut, brownie, peanut butter, regular, you know? I’m not tryin’ to share the spotlight anymore, I worked too hard for this shit! It’s long time for a change for this hardcore and popular rapper, you know what I’m sayin’? Ain’t NOBODY called Flip-boy! Not until now, now I’m called Flip-boy, Flip-boy is ME. No longer a hardshelled chocolate candy treat, just a rapper man named Flip-boy.”
During the interview he also touched on his exciting new lyrical direction apparently inspired by the realization that his rhymes were getting a bit stale. "I realized that I was stuck in a rut, a straight up butt-rut of rabble dabble rap, the kind I made famous for so many people. I’m always relying on the same old formula, I love that formula, it worked for me, I sold millions of records, but knock-knock," Flip-Boy continued, "Who’s there? Change bitch! I want to challenge myself and push the boundaries of what people expect from me as a true and real rap artist."
“Yo, rapple the dapple, knock knock,
Who’s at the door? Where my socks?
It’s tacos and shit,
So I barefootted it,
And stompin’ around in my Crocks!”
While some fans may be excited to embrace this new direction, most will likely be exaushted by the mere thought of such hare-brained show boating bufoonery. For his part, Flip-Boy is confident that his fans will stick with him. "I'm excited to see where this new path takes me," he said. "And my fans will be excited too, they will come along for the ride. You’ll see, they’ll love it! Just like I love tri-tip now! I didn’t even know about that! It’s like steak and shit!"
